I.... LOVE.... YOU....

I have been teaching Sebastian to say I LOVE YOU and yesterday he finally said it :)! Dave rang home from work last evening and I passed the phone to Sebastian and told him to say I LOVE YOU. He must have said it 5 or 6 times ;p. Sure Dave was very happy!

1, 2, 3....... 10

On Wednesday while I was trying to get Sebastian to nap, I lied on the floor to rest my eyes. As usual, he was talking to himself. Then I heard him counting 1 to 10! Such a clever boy! This was the first time that he had counted the numbers (1 to 10) though didn't sound very accurate ;p.

Poo poo.....

Today is the second time Sebastian had told me he wanted to poo (first time was on Wednesday) and he managed to sit on the toilet for a while. As the poo was a bit hard, I helped him.... Eventually he managed to poo like a big boy! Yeah! Really proud of him :).

Toilet training

After 2 months of toilet training, Sebastian finally did it at the care centre on Monday! At home, he refused to sit on the toilet for more than 10 seconds! But he finally did it this evening TWICE!! Yeah, yeah, yeah!!

He told me wee wee after dinner and I brought him to the toilet and he did it! And just before putting him to bed, I told him to go wee wee and brush teeth, he did it again! Really proud of him :D.

First museum visit

Last Saturday, we brought Sebastian to the museum for the very first time. It was the second last day of the Mozart: A Child Prodigy exhibition. Was really glad as Sebastian had a great time there. We must have stayed at least 2.5 hours.

First movie

We brought Sebastian to watch Kung Fu Panda - his first movie - at the cinema yesterday and he absoblutely loved it! He was very well behaved through out the whole movie :). He also had his first taste of pop corns and couldn't get enough! hahah.... After the movie, he kept saying "Po" and "Shifu"...

Stomach flu ;(

Sebastian has been throwing out since yesterday morning after breakfast. I was hopping that he would be better by this morning. But in less than 5 mins he woke up, he threw out! He managed to eat some breakfast but did a merlion while we were on the way to the doctor. So I rushed him home to clean up before taking him to the doctor again. We must have waited an hour before our turn. He was so tired that he fell asleep!

So he's suffering with stomach flu! Wonder where he got it? Because of this he's off classes this week...

A, B, C, D, E...

I brought Sebastian to the library last Friday and there was a boy who looked slightly older who could recite all the alphabets. Although his pronounciation wasn't that clear but I was really impressed!

Was thinking when Sebastian could do it? This afternoon, when he was playing with his alphabets puzzel, he suddenly blurred out a clear A, B, C, D, E, F, G... I was caught by surprise and really proud!

Barney's Let's Imagine Live!

We brought Sebastian to watch Barney live yesterday. His first ever show! He had seen lots of characters live at shopping malls but this was a REAL show! He was good throught the 1.5 hours. Really enjoyed himself :).

Goodbye curls - haircut!

Finally received a call from Impact to reschedule Sebastian's photo shoot on Thursday. So we sent Sebastian to the hairdresser yesterday to chop off his curls ;(.

Sebastian didn't look too happy while having his hair cut. He didn't look too Gbad with his short haircut but I still prefer the longer version with curls...

Getting ready for his haircut

Hmm... I'm missing my curls already ;(

Not too sure if I like my new haircut...
So, what do you think?

Toilet training

The daycare started toilet training Sebastian few days ago. So far no result yet. There were a few days I was told that he held on his pee until his diaper was on again...

We have been trying to bring him to the toilet and asking him to wee but so far nothing happens yet... Almost succeed this evening but we were a few second too slow!

Took this picture a few days ago and he really looked like he was going to wee ;).

Sebastian's curls

Took this picture while we were on the bus. I love his curls... Soon it will be just memories... ;(

Short hair please!

Sebastian was supposed to have his photo shoot this morning but yet again it had to be postponed! Reason being his hair was too long?! *Sigh* I really love his curls but now have to keep his hair short :(.

This shoot has taken forever! His last shoot was last September. Supposed to have one every four months but because he had HFMD, a black eye and mossie bites, it has been delayed for so long!

Now we'll just have to wait for Impact to give us a date for the shoot... Hope it's not another month ;(....

Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

This morning we went to Jocob Ballas Children's Garden at the Botanic Gardens. Arranged this with Rachel and Jasline some weeks ago. The weather was good (and hot). The boys (and daddies) had a wonderful and fun time at the Tree House while mummies sat under the shades chatting away ;p. We had lunch at CA California at Dempensy Road.

Hi-5, Hi-5

Sebastian has been crazy about Hi-5 for the past few days. Every morning when he wakes, it's "Hi-5, Hi-5!". When he returns from school, it's "Hi-5, Hi-5!". He even refuses to watch Pocoyo, Barney and Mickey Mouse! I could even hear him shouting "Hi-5" last night 20 minutes after we left his bedroom. Hahah...

I love yogurt

Yogurt is probably Sebastian's favourite snack. He likes yogurt more than ice-cream! Whenever we dine at Jack's Place or Eighteen Chefs, he always gets complimentary ice-cream but it always becomes our dessert instead. But he eats homemade ice-cream though ;).

I tried making yogurt last night but the texture is not ideal (too much milk!). Nevertheless, Sebastian likes it and finished it :).

I love shower time!

Sebastian is really funny when coming to his bath time. When I tell him it's time to 'go pong pong' (bath/shower), he will really make a big fuss and refuse to have his clothes taken off. However, when he's in the bath he will refuse to get out!

We have been giving him shower instead of bath for the past one/two weeks and he loves it! He loves to turn on the tap and stands beneath the shower all by himself. He's great with water, not scared at all when water splashes on his head. Thanks to the training since he was about ten weeks old! Yes, it sounds cruel but I didn't want a screaming toddler in the shower when I try to wash his hair or pouring water down his head.
Look at his in the shower! Can you see the tan on his arms and legs?

Mummy's little helper

Sebastian loves helping to clean up (or I call it mess up) around the flat. Wiping the table, picking up pieces and even washing up! I gave him a little bowl of biscuits with coloured toppings (which I used to eat when I was young) after his yogurt. After he finished, he gave me the bowl and I left it on the floor (yes I did!). Guess what he did? He took the bowl and brought it to the sink! Then he saw my magic mop and here's my little helper...

Bye bye mummy

I always stand outside Sebastian's class and watch him for at least 20 minutes. It's not that I can't bear to be away from him. I just LOVE to watch him with the other children.

He danced along as the teacher played O-zone's Dragostea Din Tei. It's must be the children's favourite song!

After the morning dance finished, I told him that I was going off and most of the time he would just look at me and ignore me. But today as his classmates, Jervis and Kate were waving bye bye to me with their arms high in the air, he did the same too :). And they couldn't stop! haha....

Snail

This morning when I sent Sebastian to school, 李老师 told me about this snail they used for the class yesterday. Apparently he was the only child in his class (5 of them) who was brave enough to touch it :). Like mother like son ;p. kekeke...

Muffins and jelly

I baked some citrus yogurt muffins while Sebastian was napping.

So Sebastian had a mini muffin for his afternoon snack.

After dinner, he had raspberry jelly for dessert.

Verdict :-

He likes muffin and dislike jelly (?!). But he loves playing with the jelly though ;p.

A cut on the chin....

Received a call from Ms Ng at noon informing me that Sebastian fell and cut his chin! Ok, I'm not a panicky mum so I'm quite relaxed about it but I did make a point to text Dave to inform him.

When I went to fetch Sebastian, he looked happy. I asked if he fell and if it hurts. "No." he said. My brave little boy :). Ms Ceclia said he lost his balance while he was trying to crawl towards her.

Time for No. 2??

Yesterday morning while I was preparing breakfast, Sebastian came to me and took my hand. We walked a few steps away from the stove and guess what he did? He patted on my tummy and said "baby"! I was like ?? I wonder if it's time to have no. 2? Is it a sign? hahaha....

Weekend ritual

Every weekend, Sebastian LOVES to snuggle and get cosy with us on our bed after he has woken up. So this is how we look like when we first go up ;p.....

I'm 27 months!

Sebastian turned 27 months 2 days ago....

Flu vaccine

As we will be travelling to Hong Kong next month and to give ourselves a peace of mind, I decided to enquire about the flu vaccine at the local GP. However, they have run out of stock! So I decided to go to the clinics around the neighourhood to enquire. Luckily the first clinic I came to have stock (just arrived this morning)!

So off we went to the clinic in the afternoon. It was crowded and we were no. 7 in the Q.... Sebastian was a bit cranky (I suppose it was his nap time), couldn't sit still and had to touch everything in the clinic! He made so much noise as I made him sit on the bench. Finally the clinic assistant directed us to a small room to wait for the doctor (so we jumped Q!). Doctor appeared in less than 5 mins :). She asked me to hold on to Sebastian, so that he wouldn't struggle too much. I gave him a small packet of marshmallow to distract him. Well, I must say he is a very brave boy! No fussing at all. I thihk he didn't even notice it when the doctor administered the vaccine. Thanks to the marshmallow! While we were waiting to pay, I asked him if it hurts, he said "no...."

He was tried when we got home....
